Saariselkä Tourist Centre is located in the municipality of Inari, along highway 4, some 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, embraced by Saariselkä fells and Urho Kekkonen National Park. The heart of Saariselkä tourist centre has been designed very solid. Once there you will find out how good that is. Here you don't need a car, as all basic services are within a few hundred metres. Even the southern ascent area of Kaunispää Fell is less than 1 km away - somewhere else it would be counted as part of the town centre. Population becomes sparser towards south - there's plenty of space for those seeking their own space and privacy.

In addition to high-quality services, hotels, restaurants, spa and many activities, Saariselkä offers plenty of marked ski and hiking tracks for nature lovers. Furthermore, the colourful gold history of the area is fascinating to many.

FELL CENTRE KIILOPÄÄ is located 25 kilometres from Saariselkä

Smoke sauna and swimming/winter swimming in a hill stream. In the sauna world there are changing rooms, showers and electric saunas separately for women and men, smoke sauna and swimming place are mixed. There is also a small cool off room and toilet in the sauna world. There are public sauna days 1-3 times a week according to the season. Sauna world can also be booked as private.

Finnair - Direct 1.5 h regular flights from Helsinki to Ivalo airport and a 30 min bus transfer from the airport directly to Saariselkä.




Korsisaaren Saariselkä Express is an express coach that takes you comfortably from Helsinki via Hämeenlinna, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Kemi to Saariselkä.

Eskelisen Lapin Linjat - Several buses daily from Oulu and Rovaniemi as well as Northern Norway to Saariselkä. Tourist express coach from Helsinki on the weekends in the spring, summer and autumn.

Expressbus from all around Finland directly to Saariselkä.  By road the journey totals 1 100 km from Helsinki, 490 km  from Oulu, 260 km from Rovaniemi and 456 km from Nordkap.



VR - Take a train to Rovaniemi where each train has a bus connection to Saariselkä. Another alternative is to take your own car to the train and after the train journey drive from Rovaniemi to Saariselkä 260 km. 

AIRPORT SHUTTLE operates from the airport to Saariselkä and back during each flight to Ivalo.
